Casa Arnel was founded on the 24th of december, 1972 by the kind and friendly proprietors Federico and Glafira Cruz, pioneers in the hotel industry of Oaxaca. Thanks to the patronage of our visitors, we remain in your favor and widely recognized in the most important tourist guides.

Casa Arnel is the home of the family, Cruz Salazar, and it is we whom personally attend you during your stay. It is for this reason that our service provides a family atmosphere so that upon returning from your walks in the city and beyond you will always find a pleasant and hospitable place to rest.

In the beginning Casa Arnel was a small establishment with only a few rooms and it was not until 1990 that the last stages of construction was completed. We have always been constantly improving our installations in order to be able to offer you what you see and enjoy today.

We are rated as a two star hotel. Casa Arnel, however, has always been in the vanguard of catering to our guests needs. As such, we offer services found only in large hotels that enhance your stay with us.

We reiterate that the Casa Arnel is dedicated to the concept of rest. For this reason our rooms have no television or telephone. Instead we offer wide terraces where you can sit and read, write or take in the view of the surroundings. You can enjoy the verdure and color of our garden in the shade of the trees. The birds that live in the trees add an aesthetic touch that our guest enjoy and appreciate.
